Heated Grips Instuctions (2 Level Temperature Motorcycle Heated Grips)
1. This electical equipment should be fitted by someone experienced in motorcycle electrical systems.
2. The HEATED GRIPS working voltage is 12v±2v.
3. Whilst fitting the HEATED GRIPS it is advisable to remove the positive connection on the battery to avoid any accidental short circuits.
4. It is advisable not to connect the HEATED GRIPS directly to the battery as forgetting to switch them off when the motorcycle is not ----in use will result in flattened battery and instead to connect them to the power feed after the ignition switch.
5. The grips with the control switch should be fitted to the left side handlebar and the other to the right over the throttle pipe if not using the included modified throttle pipe. The Allen screw on the left and the phillips screw on the right should be tightened to secure the in the required position, checking the free operation of the throttle mechanism
6. The gree wire should be connected to a positive voltage supply and the black wire should be connected to an earth or a circuit connecting to the negative battery terminal.
7. The two grips should then be connected together using the two 2 pin Molex connectors.
8. Ensure the wiring is routed safely and does not interfere with the free running of many other cables and does not hinder nor foul the steering system at any position between left lock and right lock.
